Florence Pasta & Baking Class
Florence Pasta & Baking Class
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Via Camillo Cavour. Then, we'll enter a cooking school in Florence and meet the chef with whom we'll spend the next few hours cooking. Ready to get cooking?
First, we'll start by gathering the ingredients we'll need for the pasta and pastry workshop. We'll measure the amount of flour and salt, beat the eggs, peel the potatoes - a perfect mise en place!
Three different pasta dishes will be made using both the rolling pin technique and the pasta machine. Of course, we'll also learn how to prepare the sauces for these delicious dishes. We'll cook fettuccine alla Norma, gnocchi with tomato and, if you come in summer, ravioli with ricotta and spinach, or mezzelune di Mantova in winter.
Since there's always room for dessert, we'll attend a pastry workshop to learn how to make a vanilla panna cotta. To add a sweeter touch, we'll also make a strawberry coulis in the summer and a chocolate coulis in the winter.
After enjoying the cooking to the fullest, we'll sit down and savor the delicious menu composed of the dishes we've been preparing ourselves. Is there a better reward for a job well done? Also, we'll pair the meal with an exquisite Tuscan wine.
Three hours and 15 minutes after the start of the class, we'll end this experience.
